      Using aligners

      Aligners can be used to correct anything from minor problems to complex repositioning of teeth:
      a) If front teeth are too close together, causing individual teeth to twist or overlap
      b) If you have gaps between teeth because teeth are missing, are too small or have moved out of alignment.

      Duration of therapy

      After an initial examination and diagnosis, the length of time needed can be estimated, depending on the extent and complexity of the misalignment. You can usually expect treatment to last between 3 and 12 months. Before treatment begins, a virtual model of your teeth will be created and the expected result shown on the computer. For optimum results we recommend wearing the aligner for 20 to 22 hours a day. About every two to three weeks, you will have a checkup and your aligner will be changed. Over time you can expect to wear several different ones, each moving or turning your teeth a little more. Even if the therapy with aligners takes 12 months to complete, this is still shorter than conventional solutions with braces.
